Radar Setup Menu
From a radar screen, select .
- Source
-
Selects the radar source when more than one radar is connected to the network.
- Chart Display
-
Shows the chart under the radar image. When enabled, the Layers menu appears.
- Orientation
-
Sets the perspective of the radar display. You can choose to orient the radar display so "up" is determined by north, your heading, or your course. You can also choose to orient the radar display more like a chart using the North Up True Motion option.
-
This setting orients the radar display with north up, but not centered on the vessel. In this view, the vessel indicator moves across the screen while stationary objects remain fixed. This may help when visualizing the movement of the vessel relative to the land and other detected objects.
- Stabilization
-
Sets the method used for calculating movement for the vessel and for detected targets. The Ground option uses Course Over Ground (COG) and Speed Over Ground (SOG) when calculating object movement. The Sea option uses Speed Through Water (STW) when calculating object movement. When using the Sea option, you can select
and enter the water speed manually if needed.
- Crosstalk Rej.
-
Reduces the appearance of clutter caused by interference from another nearby radar source.
- Rotation Spd.
-
Sets the preferred speed at which the radar rotates. The High Speed option can be used to increase the refresh rate. In some situations, the radar automatically rotates at the normal speed to improve detection, for example, when a longer range is selected or when MotionScope or Dual range is used.
- Appearance
-
Sets the color scheme, look-ahead speed, and navigation appearance.
- Installation
-
Allows you to configure the radar for the installation, such as setting the front of the boat and the antenna park position.
