Charging the Handheld Device

NOTICE

To prevent corrosion, thoroughly dry the USB port, the weather cap, and the surrounding area before charging or connecting to a computer.

You should fully charge the battery before you use the device for the first time or whenever the battery is low (Checking the Battery Level of the Dog Collar Device). It is normal for the battery to discharge in approximately 1 year when the device is not in use. Charging a fully depleted battery takes about 2 hours.

NOTE: The device is fully functional while charging when using an AC power adapter. The device will not charge when it is outside the charging temperature range (Specifications - Pro Series HH).
  1. Lift the weather cap Callout number one.

  2. Plug the small end of the power cable into the mini-USB port Callout number two on the device.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a power source.

    The status LED is solid red when the device is charging.

  4. After the status LED turns solid green, unplug the power cable from the device.
