The basic map contains major cities and highways. Other map products contain additional information, such as streets, addresses, points of interest, or topographical information. Map data appears only when a map is installed, unlocked, and selected.

You can use the BaseCamp™ application to view a map loaded on a compatible GPS device or SD card (Viewing Maps on a Connected Device).

You can change the amount of detail visible on the map by customizing the display preferences and other map features (Display and Map Preferences).
