Adding an Area Avoidance You can define a specific area on the map to avoid when creating a route for an activity. Select BaseCamp > Preferences > Routing > Manage Areas. Select an activity. Select a location on the map to avoid. Select . Drag to draw a box over the area to avoid. The area avoidance appears on the map as a red box, and a name for the area appears in the Area Avoidances window. Select Done.
