Creating a New Trip

Before you can create a trip using address information, you must have a map that includes address information.

You can calculate a trip automatically based on a starting location, destination, and the amount of time you intend to spend driving each day.

Select Trip Planner > New Trip.
If necessary, select a map product.
Select New.
Select an option:
- Select the number of days for your trip.
- If you know the dates of your trip, select the check box, and select the depart and return dates for your trip.
Select the maximum number of travel hours per day.
If it is a round trip, select the check box.
Select Continue.
Select a method of travel.
Enter the starting location and destination.

NOTE: You can search for locations, such as waypoints you have created and cities. The search options vary depending on the maps you unlock.
If your method of travel is Flying, select an option:
- Select Search For Flight, and enter the airline names and flight numbers for your departing, return, and connecting flights.
- Select Search For Airport, and enter the airport names.
Select Start Trip.
