Maximizing Battery Life
You can do several things to extend the battery life.
- Reduce the screen brightness (Display and Brightness Settings).
- Reduce the length of time before the backlight turns off (Display and Brightness Settings).
- Turn off the screen automatically when the backlight times out (Display and Brightness Settings).
- Reduce the flashlight brightness (Using the Flashlight).
- Reduce the flash frequency of the flashlight strobe (Using the Flashlight).
- Use expedition mode (Turning On Expedition Mode).
- Turn off wireless connectivity (Wi‑Fi Settings).
- Turn off Bluetooth® technology (Bluetooth Settings).
- Turn off additional satellite systems (Satellite Settings).
- Use Low Power messaging mode on your GPSMAP® H1i Plus satellite communicator (Messenger App Settings).
- Reduce the frequency of the Send Interval tracking setting on your GPSMAP H1i Plus satellite communicator (inReach Tracking Setup).
