Opening the Steering System Housing Remove the shaft from the steering system (Removing the Shaft). Remove the steering system from the mount (Removing the Steering System from the Mount). Remove the depth-adjustment collar (Removing the Depth-Adjustment Collar). Remove the electronics cover (Removing the Electronics Cover). Remove the PCB (Replacing the PCB). Using a #3 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws and washers on the top of the steering system housing. Using a 6 mm hex bit or wrench, remove the four hex bolts and nylon washers on the top of the steering system housing. Turn over the steering system housing. Lift up carefully and evenly on the base of the steering system housing to separate the two parts.
