Troubleshooting
Resetting the Device
If the device stops responding, you may need to reset it. This does not erase any of your data or settings.
The chronograph is not detecting my shot velocity
You can perform these actions to help determine why the chronograph isn't detecting your velocity.
The chronograph is detecting shots from the shooter next to me
It is possible for the chronograph to detect shots from adjacent shooters. For best results, you should always ensure the nearest shooter is at least 1.5 m (5 ft.) from your location.
The recorded velocity is higher when the chronograph is mounted to a rifle
When the chronograph is mounted to a rifle, the recorded velocity can appear higher than if the chronograph were separate from the rifle. The rifle's backward movement during recoil offsets the recorded numbers by a small amount. In most cases, the velocity difference is not noticeable. Rifles with a heavy recoil can offset the measurements by up to 3 m/s (10 ft./sec.).
The chronograph temperature is approaching a critical level
To prevent overheating, the Xero® C2 chronograph turns off when it is used at temperatures above the listed operating temperature (Specifications). If a warning message appears, you should move the device to a cooler location.
The chronograph does not turn on
If the chronograph does not turn on, disconnect the charger and wait 15 seconds. Reconnect the charger and fully charge the chronograph.
