Software Updates
You should check for updates to the trolling motor software periodically, to make sure you get the latest features and enhancements.
You can use the ActiveCaptain® app to update the device software (Updating Software with the ActiveCaptain App ).
If your trolling motor is connected to a Garmin® chartplotter, updating the chartplotter software automatically updates the trolling motor software as well.
NOTE:
If your
Force® trolling motor is running software version
5.40 or older, you must use the
ActiveCaptain app to update it to the latest version. After you have updated the trolling motor software to a newer version, updating the connected chartplotter software will automatically update the trolling motor software as well.
After a trolling motor software update completes, the software on connected peripherals such as the remote control and the foot pedal may be automatically updated as well.
