Removing the Motor

To safely access the motor power cable connection on top of the electronics box, you should remove the LNC and the circulator/waveguide assembly (Removing the LNC and the Circulator) and pull the electronics box partly out of the housing (Removing the Electronics Box) before you disconnect and remove the motor.

The motor is supported entirely by four mounting screws.

The motor power cable is connected to the motor control board on top of the electronics box.

  1. Identify the motor power cable connection on the board on top of the electronics box (Internal Connections).
  2. Pull the motor cable connector up with moderate force to disconnect it from the electronics box.
  3. Remove three of the four mounting screws securing the motor to the housing.
  4. Supporting the motor with your hand, remove the last mounting screw.
  5. Remove the motor from the housing.
