Getting Started

You can use the Garmin Catalyst™ R1 racing radar system with the Garmin Catalyst Radar app on your phone. You can also use the Garmin Catalyst R1 racing radar system as a standalone device without a screen (Radar Status LED). This list provides an overview of the installation and setup tasks.

  1. Install the indicators (Installing the Indicators).
  2. Install the mount (Mounting the Garmin Catalyst R1 Racing Radar).
  3. Install the Garmin Catalyst R1 racing radar system in the mount (Installing the Radar in the Mount).
  4. Adjust the radar angle (Checking the Radar Angle).
  5. Pair your phone (Pairing the Garmin Catalyst R1 racing radar System with Your Phone).
  6. Check for updates in the Garmin Catalyst Radar app.
    For the best experience, you should keep the software on your device up to date. Software updates provide changes and improvements to privacy, security, and features.
