NOTICE

You must secure the transducer cable to the Spy Pole™ shaft or other secure location during installation. Damage to the transducer cable wires or cable jacket can cause transducer failure.

  1. Remove any other device from the bottom mount of your Spy Pole™ mount.
  2. Using a flat prying tool, pry the adapter disc off of the bottom mount.
  3. Remove the new adapter disc from parts bag Bag label K.
  4. Remove the adhesive liner from the back of the adapter disc.
  5. Align the pegs in the adapter disc with the corresponding holes in the bottom mount, and press the disc onto the mount.
  6. Remove the knob from parts bag Bag label E.
  7. Attach the transducer to the mount using the knob, and tighten the knob by hand.
NOTE: You can secure the transducer to the mount using the included low-profile hardware instead of the knob if you do not plan to switch transducer modes frequently during use (Installing the Transducer Using Low Profile Mounting Hardware).
  8. Secure the transducer cable to the Spy Pole™ shaft or other secure location while taking these precautions.
    • You should not route the cable close to electrical wires or other sources of electrical interference.

    • You must route the cable so it is not pinched when the Spy Pole™ mount is deployed or stowed.

NOTE: If necessary, you can connect an optional extension cable, available at buy.garmin.com or from your Garmin® dealer.
  9. Position the transducer at your preferred angle (Viewing Modes).
