NOTICE

If your Spy Pole™ mount is connected to a trolling motor, you must use the dogbone stabilizer if you attach the LiveScope™ 2 to the side of the Spy Pole™ shaft. You can purchase the dogbone stabilizer kit from your local Garmin® dealer or from buy.garmin.com.

    NOTICE

The bracket must be aligned so the notch in the bracket lines up with the grooves in the Spy Pole™ shaft grommet. Misaligning these pieces and tightening the bracket can result in damage to your Spy Pole™ mount.

  8. Insert the screws 2 into the back of the mounting bracket 3, and secure them to the front bracket using the 5 mm hex wrench in parts bag Bag label A.
  9. Transition the Spy Pole™ mount from the deployed to the stowed position and back again to test the location of the mounting bracket and make any necessary adjustments (optional).
  10. Remove the adhesive liner from the back of the adapter disc 4.
  11. Attach the adapter disc to the end of the mount arm by aligning the 3 pegs on the adapter disc with the holes in the bracket.
  12. Place the transducer 5 against the adapter disc, and attach it using the knob 6.
NOTE: You can secure the transducer to the extension arm using the included low-profile hardware instead of the knobs if you do not plan to switch transducer modes frequently during use (Installing the Transducer Using Low Profile Mounting Hardware).
  13. Route the transducer cable through the shaft.
    NOTICE

You should not route the cable close to electrical wires or other sources of electrical interference, and you must route the cable so it is not pinched when the Spy Pole™ mount is deployed or stowed. Failure to adhere to these guidelines can result in property damage or damage to your device.

NOTE: Leave a small amount of slack in the transducer cable before securing it so you can rotate the transducer between viewing modes.
NOTE: If necessary, you can connect an optional extension cable from your local Garmin dealer or from buy.garmin.com.
  14. Position the transducer at your preferred angle (Viewing Modes).
