Changing the Default Anchor Mode
The default Anchor Mode on the Force® Current trolling motor is Bow Lock, which holds the position of the bow of your boat, allowing the stern to drift. You can change the default Anchor Mode to Anchor Lock, to use the location of the motor on the stern as the anchor point, allowing the bow to drift.

On the remote control, select
> Settings > Trolling Motor > Anchor Mode.
- Select Anchor Lock.

to confirm the selection.
You can activate the default Anchor Mode using the 
key on the remote control, or Anchor Mode controls on a connected Garmin® chartplotter or watch.
TIP:
You can assign one of the programmable keys on the remote control to quickly turn on Bow
Lock or Anchor Lock, regardless of which mode you set as the default Anchor Mode (Assigning an Anchor Mode to a Programmable Key).
