Transponder Modes
The XPDR/TCAS Mode on the 'Transponder' Screen always shows the default or pilot selected mode and does not necessarily correspond with the traffic system if it is in a lower mode due to other constraints.
Refer to the Traffic Avoidance section in Hazard Avoidance for more information about TAS/TCAS alerts.
The following table describes the transponder and traffic system operating modes for each of the XPDR/TCAS Mode selection:
