Reconnecting the Power Cable
- Pull the rubber shields away from the power cable terminals.
- Apply dielectric grease to the ring terminals on the power cable and to the bolts on the steering system.

Connect the power cable terminals to the bolts on the steering system, with the red cable on the positive (+) terminal, and the black cable on the negative (−) terminal.

- Using a 10 mm socket, install the nuts that secure the power cable connectors.
- Tighten the nuts to at 4 N-m (36 lbf-in).
- Pull the rubber shields down to cover the power cable connectors.
- Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, install the bracket that secures the power cable to the steering system.
- Tighten the screws to 0.5 N-m (4.3 lbf-in).
