Activate Standby Databases:

  1. Touch the Applications Icon on the MFW App Bar.

    Or:

    Press the MENU Softkey two times to open the 'Apps' Window.

  2. If necessary, touch the Settings & Tools Tab.
  3. Touch the Databases Button.
    1. Select the standby database to be activated.
    2. Touch the Marked For Activation Annunciation Button.

    Or:

    1. Press the MENU Softkey (on the 'Database Status' Window side of the bezel if in split screen mode).

      Or:

      Touch the Menu Icon in the top right corner of the 'Database Status' Window.

    2. Touch the All Newer Marked For Activation Annunciation Button.
    3. A confirmation window will appear, "This will activate all standby databases on a newer database cycle than the active databases." Touch the OK Button to activate on the next system power cycle.

      Or:

      Touch the Cancel Button to return to the previous window.

  4. To initiate a power cycle:
    1. With the 'Database Status' Window open, and a database marked for deletion, touch the Menu Icon at the top right corner of the window.

      Or:

      Press the MENU Softkey (on the 'Database Status' Window side of the bezel if in split screen mode).

    2. Touch the Restart Avionics Button (this button will be subdued if the aircraft is not on the ground).
    3. The prompt, "Restart Avionics? XX Database(s) will be Deleted" will open.

      Touch the OK Button to initiate the power cycle of the avionics unit.

      Or:

      Touch the Cancel Button to cancel the process and return to the 'Database Status' Window.
