Barometric Minimum Alert

For altitude awareness, a barometric Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA), Decision Height (DH), or Decision Altitude (DA) can be set by the user and is reset when the power is cycled. Once the user-defined altitude is within the range of the tape, a cyan bug appears at the reference altitude on the Altimeter. The bug on the tape and the number set in the 'BARO MIN' Datafield Button will turn white when within 200 feet of reaching the barometric minimum alert. When the altitude of the aircraft reaches the minimum, the bug and text turn amber and the aural alert, “Minimums Minimums”, is heard.

NOTICE

For single pilot aircraft the 'Split COM' function will remove aural alerts from the passenger and co-pilot headsets.
