System Controls and Display
Only Projective Capacitive (PCAP) gloves (but not all) are compatible with Garmin touchscreen displays. During aircraft preflight, while on the ground, verify that gloves are compatible with Garmin touchscreen displays. Refer to Appendix D for more details on glove selection and qualification. If in flight and gloves are no longer effective, either use the bezel controls or remove gloves.
The system controls simplify operation, minimize crew workload, and reduce the time required to access sophisticated functionality. The system is controlled by buttons and knobs on the bezel and touchscreen interaction. The Display Units are discussed in this section.
