Creating Timing Gates

Before you can create timing gates, you must acquire satellite signals and be physically at the location where you want to set your gate (Acquiring Satellite Signals).

In addition to the starting gate, you can create up to 10 timing gates in each series.

  1. Select Training > Timing Gates > Create Timing Gate Series.
  2. Select Walking or Riding to set how you are creating the timing gates.

    If walking, follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the compass.

  3. Hold Lap symbol.
  4. Point the on-screen arrow in the direction of travel, and select Checkmark symbol.
  5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create all of the gates in the series.
  6. Press Back symbol.
  7. Select an option:

    • Select Delete Last Gate to delete the most recent gate.

    • Select Save Series to save and name the timing gate series.

      TIP: Follow the on-screen instructions to name the gate series.

    • Select Exit and Discard Series to delete all of the timing gates in this series.

    • Select Continue Creating Gates to return to the map and create additional gates in the series.
