Setting up a Boundary

NOTE: You should consider property lines when installing the wireless containment system.
  1. Turn on the dog collar device.

    Turning on the device

The base unit begins searching for the dog collar device. When paired, a preset boundary of 15 m (50 ft.) displays on the base unit.

  2. On the base unit, select a dog, and select Boundary.

    The distance changes in 1.5 m (5 ft.) increments, to a maximum of 50 m (170 ft.).

  3. With the dog collar device in hand, walk to the boundary.

When you approach the boundary, you will hear an audible tone from the dog collar device.

  4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to adjust the distance to the boundary as needed for your yard.
  5. Place a flag to mark the boundary.
  6. Continue to walk the boundary, and place the remaining flags to provide a visual cue to your dog during training.

You may need to cross in and out of the boundary to test it.

    Flag placement around the permimeter

The boundary should be a semicircle around the base unit.

  7. Use the audible tones from the dog collar device as a guide to verify the location of the boundary in your yard.
NOTE: Objects such as sheds, trees, cars, pools, or other structures in your yard will impact how the boundary responds. It is important that you understand the boundary location so you can properly introduce your dog to the Delta Inbounds™ wireless containment system.

You must train your dog to use the wireless containment system before leaving the dog outside without supervision.
