Opening the Shaft Cap NOTICE Before you open the shaft cap, you must disconnect the motor from the power source. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws that secure the lid of the shaft cap. You should place these screws in a safe place, because you must use them to close the shaft cap.
