Setting Your Device Passcode
If you enter your passcode incorrectly three times, the device locks temporarily. After five incorrect attempts, the device locks until you reset your passcode in the Garmin Messenger™ app. If you have not paired your device with your phone, the device deletes your data and resets to the factory default settings after five incorrect attempts.
You can set up a device passcode to prevent unauthorized users from using your device.

During the initial setup, select Create Passcode when prompted.

- Enter a four-digit passcode.
- Re-enter the passcode.
By default, you must enter the passcode immediately after you turn on the device or when the screen turns back on. You can set a time interval before a passcode is required using the Require Passcode setting.
