My steering wheel controls are unresponsive or inaccurate

If your steering wheel controls work inconsistently, you may be able to recalibrate them (Calibrating Steering Wheel Controls).

NOTE: The steering wheel control calibration options are not available for all vehicle installations.

Calibrating Steering Wheel Controls

Before you begin calibrating the steering wheel controls, you should allow the Vieo™ system and the vehicle to warm up to the vehicle's average running temperature.

You can calibrate your steering wheel controls to work consistently with your Vieo system. This can be helpful if some controls are unresponsive or inaccurate.

NOTE: You can calibrate steering wheel controls only for vehicle chassis that use analog technology.
  1. Place the display in the stereo dock.
  2. On the Vieo display, select Apps > ToolsSettings > Vehicle Integration > Steering Wheel Controls.
  3. Select an option:
    • To begin calibrating the vehicle controls, select Calibrate.

    • To update a previous calibration, select Recalibrate.

    • To delete a previous calibration, select Delete Calibration.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions on your display to complete the calibration process.
NOTE: While you are calibrating the steering wheel controls, you can select RESET to begin calibrating the current button again. If a button does not exist on your steering wheel, you can select Skip to begin calibrating the next button.
