Radio
You can use the Radio app to create radio presets, select a radio channel, and select squelch codes. To use this feature, you must connect the device and the antenna to the Group Ride mount. The Tread® - SXS Edition device configures radio settings automatically when you join or create a group ride.
Selecting a Preset

Adjusting the Squelch
You can adjust the squelch and change squelch modes to filter out unwanted noise and interference in your area.

Squelch Modes
Squelch modes allow you to filter out nearby radio users on the same channel as you.
- Open

Allows a traditional squelch setting to filter out static. You can increase the squelch level to filter out unwanted noise.
- CTCSS

Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System uses an inaudible low-frequency tone before each transmission to filter out unwanted noise. You hear only others on the same radio channel who are using the same CTCSS tone frequency as you.
- DCS
-
Digital Code Squelch uses digital codes before each transmission to filter out unwanted noise. You hear only others on the same radio channel who are using the same DCS code as you.
The CTCSS and DCS squelch modes decrease your radio range slightly.

Enabling Push-to-Talk with a Headset
You can enable push-to-talk controls for use with a compatible Bluetooth® headset. This allows you to transmit your voice using the voice dial feature on your headset.

- If necessary, follow the on-screen instructions to pair your headset with the device.
- Select Push to Talk with Headset.

Transmitting Your Voice
Before you can transmit your voice, you must pair your Tread - SXS Edition device with a compatible Bluetooth headset or connect the fist microphone.
You can transmit your voice over the radio using the connected fist microphone or a compatible Bluetooth headset.

Hold the push-to-talk button on the side of the connected fist microphone (Installing the Fist Microphone and Mount).

From the main menu, select
> Adventure > Radio > Push to Talk.

Use the voice dial feature on your connected Bluetooth headset (Enabling Push-to-Talk with a Headset).
TIP: You can press the pause or stop button to manually close the radio.NOTE: You must enable the Push to Talk with Headset setting to use this feature (Radio Settings).
