Removing the Motor from the Mount

You must switch off the circuit breaker and disconnect the power cable from the motor before removing the motor from the mount.

You must trasition the motor to the deployed position (Deploying the Motor), or release the rope from the cleat and support the motor using the handle on the back of the steering system housing, before removing the motor from the mount.

WARNING

You must remove the trolling motor from the kayak before transporting the kayak. Transporting the kayak with the trolling motor on the mount may lead to an accident causing serious personal injury and property damage.

CAUTION

When transporting the trolling motor, always use the handle on the back of the steering system housing and be mindful of the propeller drive motor and the propeller, to prevent the possibility of personal injury or property damage.

  1. Pull the top of the rope partly out of the open side of the eyelet on the front of the motor steering system, and pull the lower part of the rope down until it slips out of the eyelet.
