Connecting to a Mobile Device with the ActiveCaptain App
Before you can connect the motor to your mobile device, you must install the ActiveCaptain® app (Getting Started with the ActiveCaptain App).

On the remote control, select
> Settings > Trolling Motor > Wi-Fi > Mode > ActiveCaptain > Setup.
- Enter a name and password for the trolling motor Wi‑Fi® network.

Select an option:

If you have an iOS® device, use the device Wi‑Fi settings to connect to the Wi‑Fi network on trolling motor, using the Wi‑Fi network SSID and password you set.

If you have an Android™ device, open the ActiveCaptain app, select Connect, and enter the Wi‑Fi network SSID and password you set.

You can use the ActiveCaptain app to keep your trolling motor software up to date (Checking for Software Updates in the ActiveCaptain App).
