Removing the Cradle Tension Springs
Before you remove the cradle tension springs, you must remove the mount shrouds (Removing the Mount Shrouds).

Unhook the cradle tension spring
from the cradle hook 
.

Using a small flathead screwdriver or a pick, slide the loop on the end of the cradle tension spring
off of the hook inside the cradle catch
