The system provides a means to inform the flight crew about airspaces in close proximity to the aircraft present position. The aircraft positional status relative to a list of nearest airspaces, as well as the altitude ranges for those airspaces can be viewed on the 'Nearest' Screen.

The 'Nearest' Airspaces will display a list up to 25 nearest airspaces and shows airspaces within which the aircraft is currently located or those that the aircraft will either enter or pass within defined vertical or horizontal proximity limits of the airspace boundaries in the near future if the current track is maintained. The proximity status of "Ahead" (less than 10 minutes), "Ahead < 2nm", "Within 2nm", or "Inside Airspace" is displayed when the current path of the aircraft is near, within, or just ahead of intercepting an airspace. The time until the current path of the aircraft intercepts the airspace is displayed below the proximity status text when the status is "Ahead" or "Ahead <".
