Loading a visual approach into the flight plan:

  1. With a destination loaded into the flight plan, navigate to the 'Flight Plan' Application Page.
  2. Touch the desired Airport Identifier Waypoint Button to load the approach, opening the '[Waypoint] Options' Menu.
  3. Touch the Load Procedure Button.
  4. Touch the Approach Procedure Button to display a list of approach procedures.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the list and touch the button for the desired visual approach to select it.
  6. The final leg distance is auto selected as 1 NM. If desired, change the straight in leg distance of the final approach:
    1. Touch the Final Leg Datafield Button.
    2. Use the numeric keypad to enter a final leg distance between one and 25 NMs.
    3. Touch the Enter Button to accept the final leg distance.
  7. If desired, enter or modify minimums:
    1. Touch the Minimums Button.
    2. Use the keypad to enter the minimums altitude.
    3. If necessary, apply temperature compensation to approach minimums (only available for BARO Mode):

      Touch the TEMP COMP Annunciation Button to enable the setting. Then, touch the TEMP Datafield Button, and use the keypad and Enter Button to enter the destination temperature.

    4. Touch the Enter Button to add minimums to the Procedure Loading Function.
  8. If desired, enter or modify the Approach angle:
    1. Touch the Approach Angle Datafield Button.
    2. Use the numeric keypad to enter a value btween -4.50° and -2.50°.
    3. Touch the Enter Button to accept the modified glidepath angle.
  9. Touch the Activate VTF Button to activate the approach.

    Or:

    Touch the Load Approach Button.

After an approach has been loaded it can be activated by touching the Activate VTF Button that is adjacent to the Approach Button on the FPL Application page, or navigating to the Approach Options Window and touching the Vectors to Final Button.
