The Check Runway alert is issued when the aircraft attempts to land on a runway that does not match the arrival runway specified in the active flight plan. The system determines this when the On-Final phase-of flight is valid, the aircraft is below 250 feet AGL, within one nautical mile of the runway threshold, and the aircraft is aligned with a runway that is not the landing runway entered in the active flight plan. Because it is somewhat common for ATC to redirect an aircraft to a parallel runway, this alert is a caution (amber) alert level as opposed to a warning (red) alert level.

Additionally, the Information Box will display the destination airport identifier, the runway with which the aircraft is aligned, and the distance to the runway.
