NAV/COM Radio and GPS LRU's
Users must not insert removable media into the GTR™ 200B.
For navigation systems that communicate using High Speed Data Bus (HSDB) between the GPS NAV LRU and AXIS™, the system's GPS CDI indication is "FMS". For navigation systems using a serial connection (the Nav LRU communicates one way to the AXIS) the system's GPS CDI indication is "GPS". When the navigation source is only from the AXIS Display and the display is not qualified for IFR GPS operation, the system's GPS CDI indication is "VFR". For more information on the difference between FMS, GPS, and VFR modes of operation, refer to FMS/GPS/VFR Navigation Systems.
The following LRU's may provide GPS, navigation radio, communication radio, and in many cases the LRU's from the list below provide a combination of those three. For more information regarding a radio or GPS in the following table, refer to the appropriate manual or pilot's guide. For more information on the navigation features of the AXIS flight display(s) refer to the Flight Management section of this pilot's guide. For more information in NAV/COM radio features refer to the Audio and CNS section of this pilot's guide.
