Speaker Wire Gauge Guide
You should use
16 AWG (1.3 through 1.5 mm2) oxygen-free copper (OFC) speaker wire. You can use these tables to determine if you need to use a larger gauge of wire. These tables account for terminal connection resistance.
NOTE:
Copper-clad aluminum (CCA) wire is not recommended.
