Removing the Transducer Cable from the Shaft

Removing the recessed nut to release the transducer cable requires a custom spanner wrench. The spanner wrench is included in the transducer replacement kit and in the shaft hardware service kit.

  1. Using the custom spanner wrench, remove the recessed nut that secures the transducer cable to the shaft.

  2. Carefully pull the transducer cable straight down Callout number 1 through the bottom of the shaft until it is completely removed from the shaft.

  3. After you pull the transducer cable through the shaft completely, pull it through the hole in the front of the shaft base Callout number 2, along with the cable gland.
