Getting Started
When you turn on the Garmin Signal™ VHF radio for the first time, the device prompts you to select your language, units of measure, and VHF region.
Before you can start using the radio, you may need to complete these additional configuration steps.
- Connect the device to the ActiveCaptain® app (ActiveCaptain App).
- Program the radio with your vessel details and MMSI number (Programming the Radio Using the ActiveCaptain App).
- If you are navigating on inland waterways in European countries that require the use of ATIS, enable ATIS (Enabling ATIS).
