Updating the Stereo from the Stereo Webpage

It is recommended to update the stereo using theFusion® app, a USB drive, or the Garmin® network. If you prefer not to use one of the recommended update methods, you can update the stereo using the webpage.

  1. If the connected network does not have internet access, you must download the single-stereo software update or an accessory software update file from the page for your stereo or stereo accessories on support.garmin.com and transfer it to a mobile device or personal computer on the same network as the stereo.
  2. From the stereo webpage, select the Device Settings tab.
  3. Select an option:

    • If the connected network has internet access, select Check under Check for OTA update to search for an available software update, then select Download and install if a new version is available.

    • If the connected network does not have internet access, select Browse under File, select the "update.zip" file you downloaded and transferred to the personal computer or mobile device, and select Submit

    The stereo proceeds with the update and show a message indicating that the update is in progress. When the update is complete, the stereo restarts.

  4. After the stereo restarts, on the stereo, select Menu symbol > SETTINGS > ABOUT, and verify the software update was successful.
