View Lateral and Vertical Navigation for the Flight Plan
See the AFCS Section for information on lateral guidance and course deviation per flight plan leg types.
A flight plan leg with manual termination projects the path ahead of the aircraft for five nautical miles.
Adjusting the altimeter barometric setting creates discontinuities in VNAV vertical deviation, moving the path. For large adjustments, it may take several minutes for the aircraft to re-establish on the path. If the change is made while nearing a waypoint with a VNAV Target Altitude, the aircraft may not re-establish on the path in time to meet the vertical constraint.
