The Winds Aloft weather product shows the predicted wind speed and direction at the surface and at selected altitudes. FIS-B Winds Aloft data can be displayed in 3000-foot increments beginning at the 3000 feet up to 53,000 feet MSL. FIS-B Weather additionally allows flight crews to select winds aloft data at lower altitudes in 500- foot increments beginning at 1000 feet through 2000 feet MSL.
