Waypoints, Accessing 'Waypoint Info'
When viewing information for an airport, if the map is selected, North Up orientation on 'Waypoint Info Map' cannot be changed; the pilot needs to be aware of proper orientation if the map display orientation is different from 'Map'.
The VOR displayed on 'Intersection Information' is the nearest VOR, not necessarily the VOR used to define the intersection.
The 'Waypoint Info' App is the primary means by which the pilot can select a waypoint to view information about its location and frequencies. Procedures, runways, and charts may also be available for a selected airport. Once entered, the system automatically recognizes the waypoint type (Airport, VOR, NDB, Intersection, VRP, or User Waypoint) and displays information available for the selected waypoint. See the NAV Operation portion of the Audio and CNS section for more information on finding and tuning frequencies. See the Charts portion of the Additional Features section for more information on instrument procedure charts.
The waypoint info map features are dependent on the enabled and disabled map settings. For example, if road details are enabled, roads will appear on the waypoint info map.
