Flitecharts

FliteCharts® are electronic charts that resemble the paper version of AeroNav Services Terminal Procedures Charts. The charts are displayed with high-resolution and in color for applicable charts. The display pane depiction shows the aircraft position on the moving map and on airport diagrams.

The geo-referenced aircraft position is indicated by an aircraft symbol displayed on the chart when the current position is within the boundaries of the chart. When the aircraft is not within the chart boundaries, the ‘Aircraft Not Shown’ Icon is displayed in the lower right corner of the MFW.

Off-scale areas are indicated by the gray shading. Note, the gray shading is for illustrative purposes only and will not appear on the published chart or display pane. These off-scale areas appear on the chart to convey supplemental information. However, the depicted geographical position of this information, as it relates to the chart plan view, is not the actual geographic position. Therefore, when the aircraft symbol appears within one of these areas, the aircraft position indicated is relative to the chart plan view, not to the off-scale area.

NOTICE

Do not maneuver the aircraft based solely upon the geo-referenced aircraft symbol.
