Databases can be updated using a PED with Garmin Pilot™ in combination with the Wi-Fi Datalink. A PED with Garmin Pilot must be paired with the Wi-Fi Datalink over Bluetooth.

The PED with Garmin Pilot must be connected to the Wi-Fi network of the Wi-Fi Datalink. The database updates may be initiated through Garmin Pilot interface. The system will then determine whether to transfer the databases based on databases present in the avionics. (Refer to the Garmin Pilot for Android or Garmin Pilot for iOS User’s Guides.)
