Activating Parallel Offset For The Active Flight Plan:

  1. Navigate to the Flight Plan application on the MFW and if necessary load a flight plan.
  2. Touch a waypoint identifier to open the 'Waypoint Options' window.
  3. Touch the More Options Button.
  4. Touch the Parallel Track Button.
  5. Touch the Start At Datafield Button.
    1. Select P.POS to begin the parallel track at the present position of the aircraft.

      Or:

      Touch the waypoint identifier for the parallel track to begin.

  6. Touch the Distance Datafield Button to change the distance from the course the parallel track will be.
    1. On the 'Offset Distance' keypad enter the distance desired and touch the Enter Button. A distance of 0.1 to 99.9 NM must be entered.
  7. Touch the Direction Selection Button to change between Left and Right of the flight plan course.
  8. Touch the Intercept Datafield Button.
    1. Using the 'Intercept Angle' keypad, enter an intercept angle between 10 and 50 degrees and touch the Enter Button.
  9. Touch the End Before Datafield Button and select an endpoint for the offset from the provided list of valid endpoints.
  10. Touch the Load Button to activate the parallel offset into the flight plan. A "-p" will appear to the right of all waypoints indicating the parallel offset is active for those waypoints in the flight plan. The waypoint identifier button where the offset begins will display the distance and direction (L or R) of the offset and the waypoint identifier button that the offset ends will display "End P-Offset", indicating the end point for the parellel offset.
