Parallel Offset
The Parallel Offset feature allows creation of FMS-generated waypoints that parallel the course from 1 to 50 NM left or right of the current flight plan. When Parallel Offset is activated, the course line drawn on the map shows the parallel course, and waypoint names have a lower case “-p” placed after the identifier.
While flying a parallel offset:

Initiating a direct-to will cancel the parallel offset and fly direct-to the selected waypoint.

Initiating a hold at the present position will cancel the parallel offset and fly the holding pattern.

Initiating a hold at a waypoint will result in the aircraft flying the parallel offset until a turn is required to fly to the hold waypoint. If the hold is removed before reaching the hold waypoint, the parallel offset will be resumed. Once the holding pattern is active, the parallel offset will not be resumed upon exiting the hold.
Parallel Offset is also canceled if a course change occurs greater than 120° or the parallel offsets overlap as a result of the course change. Deleting a portion of the Active Flight Plan may also cancel a parallel track.
