Initialization is the process of performing system checks and entering data required to enable FMS functions. Complete initialization before each flight using the Initialization screen, which appears when power is applied. During this process, review database status, set or verify fuel values, and review aircraft and engine tachometer readings.

To acknowledge the initialization screen touch the Continue Button, any field on the CNS Bar, the PFW keyboard, or any bezel softkey.
