Selecting FMS Approach Mode:
- Ensure an RNAV (GPS) approach is loaded into the active flight plan. The active waypoint must be part of the flight plan (cannot be a direct-to a waypoint not in the flight plan).

Ensure that GPS is the selected
navigation source.

Touch the HSI on the PFW to open the 'PFW Menu'
Or:
Press the MENU Softkey (on the PFW side of the bezel while in split screen mode).
- Touch the CDI Selection Button > GPS.

Touch the HSI on the PFW to open the 'PFW Menu'

Touch the
APR Button in the AFCS Control Window.
Or:
Press the APR Key on the AFCS Mode Controller.
