Configuring the Switches with a Mobile Device

Before you configure the switches, you must connect the mobile device with the ActiveCaptain® app to the internet.

You can also configure the switches with a compatible chartplotter (Configuring OnDeck Switches with a Chartplotter).

  1. From the ActiveCaptain app, select Boat Apps > Switches > Edit.
  2. If you are configuring switches from a new NMEA 2000® digital switching device, select the blue banner to read and accept the user agreement.
  3. Select a switch.
  4. Select Switch Connected.
  5. Select an icon for the switch, if necessary.
  6. Enter a name for an OnDeck™ switch, if necessary.

    You can name a NMEA 2000 digital switch using the chartplotter (Configuring NMEA 2000 Digital Switches with a Chartplotter).

  7. If necessary, select a duration for a Momentary switch.
  8. Select Show in Switches List.
