Mounting Your Tread in a Vehicle

NOTICE

Before mounting the device, check the local laws pertaining to windscreen mounting.

WARNING

Do not use the suction cup mount on a motorcycle.

NOTE: The suction cup mount and automotive power cable are not included with all device models. Go to garmin.com to purchase optional accessories.
  1. Align the ball on the Group Ride mount Call-out number one with the double-socket arm Call-out number two.

  2. Align the ball on the suction cup Call-out number three with the double-socket arm.
  3. Tighten the knob Call-out number four slightly.
  4. Remove the clear plastic from the suction cup.
  5. Clean and dry your windscreen and the suction cup with a lint-free cloth.
  6. Press the suction cup to the windshield and flip the lever back towards the windshield.
  7. If necessary, rotate the Group Ride mount Call-out number five so that the antenna faces up, adjust the mount for better viewing and operation, and tighten the knob.
  8. Fit the bottom of your device into the Group Ride mount.
  9. Press the device into the Group Ride mount until it snaps into place.
  10. Connect the Group Ride power cable Call-out number six to the connector on the automotive power cable Call-out number seven.
  11. Tighten the collar around the connected power cables.
  12. Plug the other end of the automotive power cable into a power outlet in your vehicle.
