Checking for Messages
Your navigator automatically checks for messages every hour. When you send a message, it listens for replies for 10 minutes. When you are using the inReach® tracking feature, it checks for messages at your tracking interval. You can manually force a message check by checking for messages, sending a message, or sending a track point. During a message check, your navigator connects to satellites and receives messages waiting to be sent to your device.
NOTE:
Your navigator must have a clear view of the sky and be in view of a satellite during the listen interval to receive messages.
