Your device automatically downloads available software updates as part of normal use. When you synchronize your device with Garmin Express™, the update is applied immediately (Sending Data to Your Computer). When you synchronize your device with the Garmin Connect™ Mobile app, the update is applied the next time you charge your device (Sending Data to Your Mobile Device).
