To prevent corrosion, thoroughly clean and dry the contacts and the surrounding area on the side of the device before charging or connecting to a computer. Refer to the cleaning instructions in the appendix.

Do not attempt to use the device to charge a battery that was not provided by Garmin^®. Attempting to charge a battery that was not provided by Garmin can damage the device and void the warranty.
